The Girls in the Snow

The Girls in the Snow is book one in Stacy Green’s Nikki Hunt series.

After twenty years, FBI Special Agent Nikki Hunt has returned to the hometown she left after a traumatic crime. She has returned to investigate the murder of two young girls found in the snow in a remote area. Her past takes center place in her return and threatens to interfere in the investigation. Agent Hunt has to put the past and new complications out of her mind before they destroy her ability to be objective and find the killer still on the loose.

The Girls in the Snow is a successful series debut for Stacy Green. The novel is well-written and features well-rounded characters. FBI Special Agent Nikki Hunt is a interesting new protagonist who will surely have a great career chronicled by Ms. Green in future installments. The winter scenery is seamlessly incorporated into the story. The engrossing plot kept me guessing until the highly climatic end. I rate this novel 5 out of 5 enthusiastic stars and recommend it to all readers who enjoy an excellent mystery.

My thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.
